TigerRisk Partners LLC, the global risk, capital and reinsurance brokerage and advisory, has announced the hiring of Will Cheney, who most recently worked at Lockton Re and is a North American reinsurance specialist.Cheney has joined TigerRisk as a Partner and will be based in Boston, Massachusetts for the firm, reporting directly to Head of North America, Wade Gulbransen.Cheney will be tasked with concentrating on providing reinsurance, capital and strategic advisory for the firm’s largest property accounts.Cheney has roughly 20 years of experience as a reinsurance broker, with a focus on property risk and has held a number of positions with leadership responsibility throughout his career.

He joins TigerRisk from his most recent position at rival Lockton Re, where he spent almost a year and a half as a Senior Broker and co-leader of the brokers’ property practice.Cheney worked at Willis Re for 11 years before that, with his most recent role being Executive Vice President, running the Boston office and the Large Account Property Segment for Willis Re North America.In his time at the firm, Cheney also helped establish the Seattle office of Willis Re.
