
Tangency Capital Ltd., an investment manager in the insurance-linked securities (ILS) space with a focus on reinsurance quota share instruments, has hired former Twelve Securis capital raising and investor relations specialist Alison Wallis as its new Investor Relations Manager.Wallis, most recently been based in California, has joined Tangency Capital this month, according to an announcement on LinkedIn.She has more than 17 years’ experience working in investment management firms, with her main focus being on business development, investor relations and account management.Wallis most recently worked for almost two years at insurance-linked securities (ILS) specialist Twelve Securis, having begun at Securis prior to the ILS managers merging.
Prior to joining Tangency Capital, Wallis held the role of Head of Investor Relations & Business Development, North America and Australia, at Twelve Securis.Prior to that, Wallis worked in Australia as a Director for Institutional Business at investment firm GAM for four years.Before that, Wallis worked at consultancy and fund raising specialist Brookvine as a Director focused on account management, business development and investor relations.
Wallis also spent time working for European asset manager DWS Group in Australia as an Institutional Client Service Manager, and also spent time at both Morningstar and Cape Venture Partners in analyst roles.When we last reported on Tangency Capital the quota share reinsurance focused investment manager had , while also having recently won a mandate from the City of Zurich Pension Fund.Interestingly, Tangency Capital has not had a dedicated investor relations resource before, although it has been particularly successful in raising assets over the years.
