Global reinsurance broker Howden Re has announced that Tim Radford has been appointed to the new role of Managing Director, Head of Lloyd’s Capital, which is set to help strengthen the organisation’s leadership across Lloyd’s market capital and investor engagement.In this role, which sits within Howden Re’s Capital Solutions platform, Radford will reportedly be the central point of Howden Re’s Lloyd’s capital strategy.As per the announcement, Radford will work across Howden Re Capital Solutions and Howden Capital Markets & Advisory (HCMA), the capital markets and insurance-linked securities (ILS) specialist unit of broking group Howden.Radford will primarily focus on connecting Lloyd’s and London market capital with broader institutional investors.
By integrating reinsurance, capital solutions, and advisory services, Radford will ensure a cohesive, client-focused strategy across the group’s specialist units.Radford, who has been with Howden Re (formerly Howden Tiger) for a few years, During his time at Aon, Radford served as a broker within the company’s Capital Advisory team with a specialist focus on Funds at Lloyd’s, where he both led and was heavily involved with the launch of Syndicates and capital raises across the market.In addition, Radford also has specific ILS sector experience, gained at an ILS fund manager.
