Judy Klugman, the Global head of ILS Distribution and Sales at reinsurance giant Swiss Re and a long-standing and well-known leader in the catastrophe bond and insurance-linked securities (ILS) space, is departing the firm at the end of June.Klugman is a senior and highly-respected executive in the catastrophe bond and insurance-linked securities (ILS) space, with a roughly 27 year capital markets career.She’s worked at Swiss Re for more than 24 years, in a range of ILS and capital markets focused leadership positions.Klugman has been instrumental in the development of Swiss Re’s position in the global catastrophe bond market, with her passion for securitization and the bond product made clear in her work and at industry events she has spoken at, including our own conferences.

New York based Klugman has a track-record of success across ILS deal-structuring, distribution, sales and investor relations.She has held roles from Managing Director of Swiss Re Capital Markets, through Co-Head of ILS and most recently Global Head of ILS Distribution and Sales, and is well-known on both the sponsor and investor sides of the market.Klugman first received a mention on Artemis right back in 2008 and has featured regularly, both in our news coverage, as an interviewee and as a speaker and moderator at our New York ILS conferences.
