Global re/insurer Everest Re has promoted two employees to senior reinsurance focused leadership positions, naming Peter Bell as CEO and Managing Director Bermuda and Ari Moskowitz as COO, both in the Reinsurance Division.The two key positions and the fact Everest Re has filled them from within demonstrate the strength in-depth of the team there.Peter has been named Senior Vice President, Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director of Bermuda, for the Everest Re Reinsurance Division, subject to BMA approval.Bell had joined Everest Re in 2003 and has over 30 years of industry experience in both insurance and reinsurance roles.

Prior to this promotion he was Deputy Managing Director of Bermuda and now in this newly expanded role, Bell will oversee all of Everest Re’s reinsurance operations for Bermuda.Moskowitz has been promoted to Senior Vice President, Chief Operations Officer of the Everest Re Reinsurance Division.He has 14 years of industry experience and joined Everest in 2019 as Deputy Chief Pricing Actuary for the Reinsurance Division.

In this newly created role, Moskowitz will continue to oversee actuarial pricing for the Reinsurance Division and will also take on responsibility for claims.He will also be tasked with driving operational excellence across the reinsurance unit at Everest Re and leading critical strategic initiatives.Both will report directly to Jim Williamson, Everest Re Group Chief Operating Officer and Head of Reinsurance.
