Inver Re, the recently launched global reinsurance brand of the Ardonagh Group, has announced another key hire, adding former Hiscox Re executive Chris Sharpe as its new Strategy, Innovation and Business Development Director.Sharpe has an excellent reputation in the insurance and reinsurance market, having helped to establish Hicox’s Bermuda operations and then having launched the Hiscox Re reinsurance brand, bringing together the firm’s London and Bermuda underwriting activities.At Inver Re, Sharpe will report to Ardonagh’s CEO of Reinsurance and Capital, Steve Hearn.Sharpe moved on from his time at Hiscox to launch a digital insurance start-up, Kinsu, which was one of the first apps to sell insurance in the UK.
