Nascent Group, a Bermuda headquartered insurance management, ILS servicing and reinsurance transformer specialist, has hired Bellal Rahman as a Senior Vice President to strengthen its offerings for the insurance-linked securities (ILS), commercial carrier and life reinsurance space.The company said that in hiring Rahman it has strengthened Nascent’s Insurance Management solutions for commercial carriers, while deepening its support for ILS sponsors, and also enhancing its life reinsurance capabilities at the same time.Rahman has worked across this range of activities in the insurance, reinsurance and ILS market, having over 25 years of experience across P&C, life, captives and ILS structures.Most recently, Rahman worked as the Head of Finance at Catalina Life Re, where he led on complex finance, regulatory and client governance initiatives within Bermuda’s long-term life reinsurance marketplace.

Previously, Rahman had also worked at Aon Insurance Managers in Bermuda for a number of years.In his time at Aon, Rahman worked to provide insurance management support to commercial carriers in Bermuda (Class 3A and 3B), while also leading on a number of ILS mandates.At Nascent Group, Rahman will be tasked with overseeing a portfolio of re/insurance clients, in the provision of outsourced finance and reporting, statutory and prudential compliance, as well as operational governance for commercial carriers, ILS vehicles and life reinsurance structures.
