Twelve Capital Management, the Zurich-headquartered insurance-linked securities (ILS) and reinsurance linked investment fund manager, is expanding its distribution capabilities with two new hires focused on the UK and Benelux/Nordics markets and a partnership focused on the Italian and Spanish markets.Distribution is one of the key ways ILS fund managers can get their strategies in front of more institutional investors and Twelve Capital is expanding its reach in the European region with these moves announced today.The investment manager was also recently granted a BaFin licence in Germany, allowing it to operate as an investment broker and investment advisor, which effectively passported Twelve Capital to enable it to target eligible clients across the EEA.Now, through the hires of two experienced distribution specialists, Twelve Capital is strengthening its presence in the UK and Benelux / Nordics markets.

In addition, a partnership with Selinca AV, a leading third-party fund marketer, is designed to provide enhanced access to investors in Spain and Italy.Twelve Capital manages a range of insurance and reinsurance linked investment fund strategies, across catastrophe bonds, private ILS and collateralised reinsurance, as well as private insurance equities and debt.Damian Brannan is the first of the new hire announcements and he joined Twelve Capital in March 2021 as Executive Director Distribution UK.

Brannan has more than 20 years experience in Asset Management across Investment, Management and Sales, with a particular focus on alternatives and global equity strategies.Jan Peters also joined Twelve Capital in April 2021 as Executive Director Distribution Benelux & Nordics.Before this, Peters worked for 13 years with Western Asset Management in London, having responsibility for client services and marketing across the Benelux and the Nordic regions.
