May 27, 2025 – Definity Financial Corporation is pleased to announce that it has entered into a definitive agreement with Travelers to acquire Canadian operations of Travelers ("Travelers Canada"), other than its Canadian surety business.Travelers Canada is a national P&C insurer with a long history; its commercial and specialty lines portfolio, combined with its personal lines business, is highly complementary to Definity.The transaction is subject to customary regulatory approvals and is expected to close in the first quarter of 2026.
