SIGLO Capital Advisors AG, a Swiss based alternative asset advisory specialist with an insurance-linked securities (ILS) practice, has hired well-known catastrophe bond and ILS product specialist Siti Dawson as a Senior Analyst.Siti Dawson had worked at LGT ILS Partners and also Clariden Leu for over a decade.Her experience in cat bonds and ILS began when she joined Clariden Leu in 2011, the private investment specialist that the LGT ILS Partners team originally started their business at.Dawson then spent roughly a decade with LGT, as a Product Specialist within the LGT ILS Partners team.

However, her career began as a financial analyst at wealth management firm VermoegensZentrum.Starting this month, Dawson has joined SIGLO Capital Advisors as a Senior Analyst within the Credit Research team.The company explained that Dawson will have a primary focus on Credit Research and also contributing to SIGLO’s Impact Initiative.

At LGT ILS Partners, Dawson has led many of the ILS fund managers environmental, social and governance (ESG) related initiatives and contributed to the Zurich ILS managers working group on ESG.Dawson’s original background having been in fund research, SIGLO has predominantly hired her for her analyst expertise, it seems.But the company said that Dawson will also be available to collaborate with the SIGLO ILS team, so her expertise gained in her time in the ILS market will also play a role for the company, as well as her experience driving ESG related investment initiatives for a fund manager.
