Aspen Capital Markets has hired Andy von Reitzenstein, previously of Credit Suisse ILS backed reinsurer Bernina Re, as a Portfolio Manager based in Bermuda.Aspen Capital Markets is the third-party reinsurance capital and insurance-linked securities (ILS) operations of global re/insurer Aspen Insurance Holding Limited.von Reitzenstein has worked in ILS and third-party capital related underwriting roles for a number of years, but began his reinsurance career at Glacier Re in 2007 as an underwriter.He joined the Credit Suisse Insurance-Linked Strategies unit in 2011, first as a Senior Underwriter and then taking on the role of Market Head, Underwriting.

In 2017, von Reitzenstein moved to the Credit Suisse backed reinsurance vehicle Bernina Re, taking on the position of Chief Underwriting Officer, North America.He now joins Aspen Capital Markets as Portfolio Manager at a time when the unit is primed for expansion.Aspen recently .
