
France-headquartered global reinsurance company SCOR has promoted experienced retrocession specialist Emmanuel Grandjean to the position of Head of P&C Risks.Emmanuel Grandjean has worked for SCOR’s Global P&C reinsurance division since 2012 and throughout his time with the company has been one of the key persons involved in the reinsurers’ insurance-linked securities (ILS) transactions, including the Atlas catastrophe bond program.Grandjean has more than 15 years of experience in the reinsurance industry, with experience across Life, P&C and also asset and liability matching.After a term with Groupama SA, Granjean joined SCOR in 2012, becoming a P&C retrocession risk modelling specialist and Models and Accumulations Manager, for SCOR Global P&C SE.
He was made a Senior Retrocession Account Manager in 2016, gaining extra responsibility across SCOR’s retrocession program and in particular its capital markets activities.This involved liaising with retrocessionaires including ILS funds, as well as all-important collateral management.Grandjean was promoted to Deputy Chief Retrocession Officer in 2020, gaining additional responsibility over SCOR’s retro placements.
