Lockton Re, the reinsurance business of the privately held independent global broking firm, has hired Simon Moore, the former Chief Underwriting Officer of CATCo, as a Senior Broker within its Non-Marine Retrocession & Property Specialty team in London.Moore had , after a stint at Aon Benfield.He went on to and held the role for a number of years.Now, Moore will bring his insurance-linked securities (ILS) and collateralized markets experience to Lockton Re, joining the firm in October 2021.

We very much look forward to welcoming Simon to Lockton Re in the third quarter of 2021.” Moore has almost 30 years of reinsurance market experience gained in roles held in both London and Bermuda.He began his career working in the Lloyd’s market, before moving to Aon in 2002 as a Loss Modelling Analyst and Account Manager for North American Property Treaty.After that, Moore spent some time at reinsurance broker Gallagher Re in London and Bermuda, before moving back to Aon to become a reinsurance broker at Aon Benfield in Bermuda and finally moving to work at CATCo Investment Management in Bermuda.
