MultiStrat, the specialist underwriter, reinsurance investment facilitator and casualty insurance-linked securities (ILS) company, has hired former Securis investor relations employee Weston Tompkins as its new Executive Director of Capital Markets.Tompkins joins the firm to lead MultiStrat Advisors, a US-based capital advisory company that focuses on sourcing investor capital to support reinsurance opportunities originated by MultiStrat.Tompkins, an experienced insurance-linked securities (ILS) and capital markets investor relations specialist, will have oversight of and manage relationships with third-party investors for MultiStrat.In the role he will oversee capital raising initiatives, capital analytics and strategy, all in support of the continued growth of MultiStrat.

As Executive Director of Capital Markets at MultiStrat, Tompkins will report to Bob Forness, Chief Executive Officer of the company.Tompkins will help the MultiStrat executive team explore new investment opportunities and initiatives to support the company’s near and long-term success.“We are excited to welcome Weston to our team as we continue to seek out opportunities for investment and growth,” MultiStrat CEO Forness commented.
