Ariel Re, the international reinsurance company that was taken private in a transaction last year, has hired Tim Shreeve from insurance-linked securities (ILS) specialist Nephila Capital in Bermuda.Shreeve had worked at Nephila Capital for roughly a decade, having joined the ILS fund management company in 2011.He had held the position of Reinsurance Controller at Nephila in Bermuda for a number of years, before being promoted to Head of Platform Planning.Shreeve’s departure from Nephila had been known a few months ago, but now his destination is known as well, and he will joing the expansive private equity backed reinsurance specialist Ariel Re.
