Elementum Advisors, LLC, the insurance-linked securities (ILS) fund management and collateralised reinsurance underwriter, has announced the hiring of former Hudson Structured Capital Management (HSCM) employee Jacqueline Muschett to the role of Managing Director, Head of Actuarial & Valuations.Jacqueline Muschett has joined Elementum in Bermuda and will report directly to the firm’s Chief Financial Officer Mike France.Muschett will have responsibility for Elementum’s processes around loss-reserving and determining fair value of investments, guiding and enhancing the ILS investment manager’s investment research, portfolio construction, and counterparty relationships.Most recently, Muschett was Managing Director, Head of Valuations at HSCM in Bermuda.

HSCM has already filled the vacancy this move has left by promoting from within, with .Muschett has more than 15 years of experience in actuarial and valuation-focused roles and previously held senior positions throughout the reinsurance industry at such firms as Sompo International (formerly Endurance) and Montpelier Reinsurance.“Jacqueline’s depth of expertise and hands-on actuarial experience bring an invaluable skillset to the team, and we’re excited for the opportunity to bring her talents into the fold as we continue our commitment to creating new layers of value for our investors and our firm,” explained Mike France, Managing Partner & CFO at Elementum.
